A former employee of the store claims that he was forced to clean the products and put them up for sale again.

The year did not go very well for some famous stores in the United States. Some of them like Sears and Kmart will have to close dozens of stores in the coming weeks and others like Ulta Beauty, which unfortunately is being the victim of serious accusations by a former employee. The young woman, who identifies herself as Fatinamxo on social media, accuses the popular makeup store of cheating its customers by selling them used products.

"I was an Ulta employee and every time someone returned a product, the manager told us to repack it and then put it up for sale again," the woman wrote on her Twitter page, even even posting alleged evidence. “For example, this foundation [stick] was cleaned with a swab to make it look like new. There I put a photo so they can see how it looks new vs. how it looks used and put on sale later”.

According to the allegations, the manager of one of the establishments forced them to do this process and even taught them to leave a product as if it were new.

"They even taught us how to clean the shadow palettes and [told us] to let them dry overnight to pack them and then resell them," he emphasized. "Managers were upset if they saw products that could be fixed in the damaged items section."

User posts have gone viral and many complaints and questions have been asked by customers since then. The company has been responding to all the concerns that buyers have expressed with the same message, “The health and well-being of our customers is our priority. We are finding out this incident that is against our practices and values."
