Jen Atkins, the Kardashian clan's favorite hair stylist and stars like Jessica Alba and Chrissy Teigen, launches her new line of perfumes that will delight her VIP clientele and the millions of followers and fans of her hair care brand, OUAI.

We spoke to her about the latest release of the favorite indie firm on Instagram and her keys to success. Do not miss it!

How did you go from creating a hair care line to the world of perfumes?

Much of what we do at Ouai is based on consulting our public and thus making the products that our followers and consumers want. Having a great public has allowed us to hear what women really want and get feedback on what Ouai products we should create. This has helped us grow as a company. We receive an incredible amount of messages from our followers on Instagram asking us to create perfumes from our scents.

Fragrances are named after your favorite places. What does each of them mean to you?

I am constantly traveling between Los Angeles, New York and Paris for work. [So] I have named the perfumes Rue St. Honoré, Mercer and Melrose Place, which are my favorite streets in each of those cities. But the perfumes are the same as in our OUAI No. 1, No. 4 and No.5 that you can smell in our shampoos, hair and body oil.

What are the perfumes that you liked the most in your life?

I am obsessed with Extrait de Parfum by Tiziana Terenzi. I also love Byredo, Dyptique and Le Labo.

What were you looking to achieve with your fragrances?

I have worked hard to create the perfect scent inspired by fine French perfumery with the rose as the protagonist of each of them.

What do you think has been the key to your success, not only as a hair stylist but as an influencer and entrepreneur since you launched OUAI?

Being humble, working hard, and not trying to compete with anyone else. There is enough [market] for us all to succeed. Don't expect to be successful overnight. Starting to build a long and successful career takes years of hard work.
