The new wife of the US Treasury Secretary, Steven Mnuchin, has caused tremendous controversy on the networks by posting on Instagram an image in which he appears descending the stairs of a state plane with an outfit valued in thousands of dollars.

What has sparked the controversy was not only the price of the set but the way in which the Scottish actress boasted of the brands she carried on an official trip, accompanying the photograph with tags that mentioned her Hermès bag and scarf, shoes Valentino and Tom Ford sunglasses.

The post quickly unleashed the anger of many netizens, who did not hesitate to comment on it, but it was this message from Jenni Miller, "I'm glad we were able to pay for your #-sorry" escapade, "which provoked Linton enough to reply.

Later, the brands mentioned in the photograph have decided to distance themselves from the wife of the Treasury secretary, assuring the media that they have no affiliation with her.
