"Living life on your own terms, achieving great goals and inspiring everyone around you," says Stephane de La Faverie, global brand president for Estée Lauder, and that is exactly what the latest ambassador of the brand dedicates her life to. Modern Muse fragrance, Misty Copeland, in addition to being a reference figure in the world of classical ballet.

But not everything went smoothly for Copeland, 34, who is the first African-American to become a lead dancer for the American Ballet Theater. When she discovered her passion for ballet, she was still fighting to get a sleeping hole on the floor of the motel room where she lived with her five brothers.
