Luis Casco Shows Us How To Recreate A Catwalk Look

Mary Kay make-up artist Luis Casco visited the People en Español offices after participating in several fashion week shows in New York. The Salvadoran showed us how to elaborate, step by step, the look he created for designer Lela Rose's show.

The makeup, very natural and suitable for any time of the day and any skin tone, focuses on the light texture and the contour of the face.

To do this, start with a light foundation. You have to achieve that "the skin looks like skin", natural, that it does not seem to be wearing much makeup.

Next, use a concealer on the part of the dark circles and also on the mobile eyelid. This counteracts the dark tones that some have in that part of the eye and makes the shadows last longer.

To make up the eye, use a palette in neutral tones. Choose a nude color with a little shine and use it on the tear part. You can play with the intensity applying more or less product and using your fingers or a brush. The palette Casco is using is from Mary Kay and will go on sale in November.

Then use a brown shadow, just below the eye socket. This will give more intensity to your gaze, regardless of the shape of your eye. Use a clean brush to blend and blend the two colors where they meet.

If you want to exaggerate the look, apply shadow to the bottom of the eye, without reaching the tear, from the middle of the eye to the end. And on the upper eyelid, extend it towards the temples to enlarge the eye.

Now, use a stick highlighter on the protruding parts of your face, like your nose and cheekbones, to brighten your skin. And it seals with translucent powders to give it a matte look.

When drawing the eyes, use the handle of a brush as a guide, mark the diagonal and fill. Use a liquid eyeliner, it is easier to handle and will help you not leave gaps in the lash line.

For lips, opt for a nude liner that is waterproof. Mark the contour and draw an X on the cupid's bow, that will help you color without leaving the lines. Pay special attention to the corners and go filling. On top of the eyeliner, use a lipstick of the same shade and then spread it with a brush.

The result is a luminous and flattering make-up, which plays with the matte and glossy finishes on different parts of the face.
