Model Gigi Hadid is living her moment. In addition to getting her first cover on Vogue and starring in numerous campaigns for the most important brands in the industry, the young woman is also an ambassador for the Tommy Hilfiger brand, and the image of her latest fragrance, The Girl.
"The Girl means being true to yourself and enjoying yourself while doing it," Hadid said in a statement. "For me it is to appreciate every moment, laugh at myself and surround myself with everything that makes me happy."
Inspired by the model's free spirit and magnetic personality, the perfume features notes of pear, violet, jasmine, and cedar wood, creating a fresh, clean scent.
The bottle portrays the nautical aesthetics of the brand's own east coast, with an anchor in a vivid blue and red on the bottle and a golden cap reminiscent of the buttons on sailor suits.
The campaign, run by photographer Mikael Jansson in New York, conveys a perfect blend of Hadid's California laid-back spirit, and Hilfiger's recognizable aesthetic; and reflects the optimistic and confident attitude of the model, who appears surrounded by handsome sailors.
As an ambassador for the firm, Hadid has also designed her first capsule collection for the firm, combining her modern vision of fashion with the classic but cool style of the Hilfiger brand, which will go on sale this fall.
