Watch The First Preview Of The Documentary About The MET Gala

The Gala of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York (MET) is one of the most important fashion events in the world that both celebrities and socialites await with much anticipation.

Not many people have the privilege of attending such a great event, which is held every May, but with the documentary The First Monday in May everyone will have the opportunity to see the preparation process and the work involved for Anna Wintour, the Director of Vogue magazine and co-creator of the evening, and her team make everything go perfectly.

"I think fashion should be recognized when it touches and moves people," says Wintour on the tape. "I mean, what more could you want."

In the first trailer of the documentary you can see the incredible and unique touches that took place in the decoration of last year's gala -inspired in China- the montage of the designs that were exhibited and the celebrities enjoying the exclusive event. This year's theme is "Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology", a look at the influence of technology in the fashion world.

In this preview you can also see how Wintour and his team choose the guests and the problems that arise days before the big night.

The documentary will be presented for the first time at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 15.
