Even hard-core romantics would think that the following love story is meaningless.
A 19-year-old girl is defending her love through and through. But it is not about any adolescent love, her partner takes her - nothing less than - 43 years apart.
In order to clarify that love is true, the girl has brought her story to the public eye to silence any skepticism that exists. Samantha Simpson (19) spoke to the media for the first time about her relationship with her husband JR, 62.
Although the two currently live in a happily married couple in Wichita, Kansas, Samantha says they are still mistreated by the "daily abuse" of strangers, who often mistake the couple for a granddaughter and grandfather, The Sun reports.
"It's even worse when people call JR a 'child thief' or a 'pedophile' when they see us holding hands or kissing us in public," Samantha, who is a student. "There is not a time when we are not talking about someone not commenting on our relationship, and it is just exhausting," she says.
But the criticisms of their relationship do not come only from strangers who see them on the street, the couple has had to fight to live with the families of both who do not tolerate the couple.
"We have had enough difficult times with family and friends who do not accept our relationship, that when strangers do, it becomes too much," he continued. "We just want people to realize that we are happily married and serious about our relationship - and other people shouldn't be discriminating against us that way."
According to the publication, Samantha was dazzled by JR's maturity and kind demeanor from the moment she met him at 18. After celebrating their first wedding anniversary on January 8, the couple now have their sights set on raising a family, saying the timing couldn't be better.
We are currently trying to get pregnant because we believe the time is right. We just got married and we have our own place, why wouldn't we want to?”Samantha said.
Samantha and JR decided to share their story in order to avoid further speculation about the obvious age difference.
