Actress Winona Ryder is the new face of Marc Jacobs' beauty line.
The designer announced via instagram that the interpreter, with whom he has been friends for more than 15 years, is the face of the spring 2016 campaign.
"With great pride (and pleasure) 'filter' this image from our upcoming Marc Jacobs Beauty 2016 campaign, [starring] the astonishingly beautiful and extraordinarily talented Winona Ryder," wrote the creative alongside this image of the protagonist Edward Scissorhands.
It is the first beauty advertising campaign for the actress, who appears with striking cat eye makeup and a flawless face. A look that is inspired by the 1961 film The Last Year and the legendary actress Delphine Seyrig.
"It's fantastic and a great honor," Ryder told Allure magazine about this campaign, for which he admitted having needed help posing. "What I admire about Marc - and there are many things - is that we both have a similar taste for the past, the history of fashion and culture."
The image was taken by photographer David Sims and the makeup was done by Diane Kendal. It is not the first time that Ryder has posed for the brand, she first appeared in a campaign in 2003 and, recently, was one of the stars who participated in the autumn / winter 2015 campaign.
