Thalía will launch a new clothing line for Macy's stores.

The Mexican singer is preparing to unveil her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today as she announces that she has just signed a multi-year contract with Macy's stores to launch a new clothing collection, which she will call Thalía Sodi.

"I am very excited and honored to partner with Macy's, an iconic American brand that believes in our community, to launch a collection that will be fabulous, fun and flirty, truly representative of who I am as a Latina," said Thalía in a press release.

The singer also expressed her happiness for this new adventure and said fashion is something that has always fascinated her. "This new clothing and accessories business has been a passion for me for years and I am looking forward to my fans and women around the world using my collection," she said.

The also actress, who will serve as a model and spokesperson for this line, debuted in the fashion world 10 years ago, when she launched a clothing collection for Kmart stores.

Inspired by the artist's style and created by Macy's Private Brands, this new collection will be on sale at 300 stores in the chain and on Macys.com in spring 2015.

"When it comes to fashion, Thalía is a trailblazer for Latinas who love to go out and stand out in a flirtatious, fun, lively way," said Terry J. Lundgren, Macy's president and CEO.

This line will include dresses, t-shirts, pants, shoes and jewelry, and it is expected that more products will be incorporated over time.

Tommy Mottola, the artist's husband, also applauded this new adventure from his wife and considered it a very important step both for her and for the chain of stores.

"We are confident that this alliance will be extremely successful and in tune with the vast base of Latino consumers that Macy's already has," it said in the statement.
