Jessica, why were you and your husband joking that the baby will never be called Raúl?

"Because that's what my husband and father-in-law are called! " She exclaims, laughing. From day one my father-in-law said: "He will be a boy and his name will be Raúl!" I said to him: "No, please, Raúl no! Not another Raúl in the family!" We have joked a lot at home about it. Also, here in the United States nobody knows how to say Raúl, they say something strange, it always happened to my husband. He is José Raúl and as everyone said wrong, one day he said flatly: “My name is José” and the problem is over. If we lived in Mexico, perhaps it would be deferential.

Of the other names that have been considered, which do you like the most?

- We had many … Diego we like, I like Ian or Liam … Although the one I love and I have to convince my husband, is the name of Samuel because it means a gift from God. It is a name that since I knew I was pregnant, I said: if it's a boy I want it to be called that. We will see the combination, because we have to choose one each!

At the moment then everything points to Samuel Raúl …

- Oh Lord! he exclaims laughing.

What went through your heart when you saw the blue color come out of the piñata?

- Another one of the most exciting moments in my life, after learning that I was pregnant. You know the baby is inside, but not knowing if it was a boy or a girl, now it is different, I am very excited. We are super happy.

What values would you like to instill in your child?

- I think that one of the most important values that I want him to learn as a child is respect, not only for women, but for the human being in general, towards everything and everyone. Love of all things, love of neighbor and love of self.

How are you preparing the delivery? Are you scared of being a new mom?

- No, it doesn't scare me. Obviously, with everything that is happening now with the coronavirus and the limitations of the hospitals, the father may not be able to go into labor… Many women are looking at the possibility of giving birth at home, I am not one of them. I want to do it in the hospital and if my husband cannot enter, that is what God wants, we will obey the orders that are at that moment. But I would never dare to have it at home, to be honest, I would be afraid that complications would arise and not be in a hospital. I highly respect the women who do it that way, it is a very personal decision and everyone knows each other and knows what they want. In my case, I want the doctors around me.

You leave accounts in…

- In September! It will be a very Mexican baby, very patriotic! she says laughing.
