As the happiest time in her life, this is how Sherlyn defines the sweet hope that she is living after having made the decision to undergo an assisted reproduction procedure, artificial insemination, months ago in order to fulfill her most desired dream: to become a mother and start your own family. In an interview with People en Español, the Mexican actress tells us about the changes she has experienced as a result of the pregnancy and responds to those who have criticized her decision and who consider that she should have waited to have a partner.

God's times are perfect and if it had been in his plans for me to be a mom later on things would not have settled

What a pleasant surprise you gave us! What changes have there been in your life in these months?

My life has totally changed for the better. They have been months of much emotional, spiritual and physical growth as well; It has been months of understanding many things, of having a lot of patience and incredible communication - not only with my baby but with my body - and feeling prettier than ever. The process of being a mom makes you feel in a state of grace, as with such a great privilege. I never imagined that you could experience such great love without knowing someone and it is my motivation, my reason, my hope and my daily drive. Pregnancy has definitely been the happiest time of my life.

What was the most difficult thing you faced in making that decision?

The truth has not been a complicated process. I believe that when God is behind something things are arranged and flow in a wonderful way. Everything was arranged despite having a very tight schedule so that the days I had to be in the treatment walked correctly, so that I could do my tests and they turned out well, so that it was not a complicated process. [The complicated] I think it has come now with the issue of having to understand that not all people think like me and that some people are still stuck in the 1900s and that they do not understand that women can also make decisions for ourselves, but when you have a motor as big as the love a baby gives you, that it is the most important project of my life and that there is nothing that I have wished for more and that I will defend and care for more, everything else is left over.

I do not consider myself a single mom, I consider myself a MOM because the single is a condition that can change. I consider myself a mom in charge

When you know that you are in charge of the life of a human being within you, you cannot spend much time thinking about what people are saying or what they are saying

How have you taken negative criticism in some media about your decision?

I have taken them with love, with understanding because we have to understand that in order for things to change sometimes it is not so fast, sometimes people take time to detach themselves from square ideas and I am not doing this to please anyone, I am doing this for love. I've read a little bit of everything out there. There are some very absurd [criticisms], there are some that have their valid points, but in the end I think that all of you who are moms will understand that there is no greater love in this life and that when you know that you are in charge of the life of a As a human being within you, you cannot spend much time thinking about what people are saying or what they are saying. And the truth is that if I start making real numbers there have been some who think or think that I do not think it is negative, I think it is something attached to their beliefs and that's it;but most of the comments have been of a lot of love, an incredible respect, a lot of empathy. I want to thank all the women who write to me, all the women who have made me feel that my baby is not only mine, it belongs to all of them, to all the women who have lost babies, to all the women who are trying in a fertility process to get pregnant, to all the mothers who write to me and give me advice, to the grandmothers, to the girls who suddenly write to me and say 'I have never seen a man next to me and I do want to Being a mom ', to all those who ask me for advice… I want to thank them because that is what is worthwhile to me, that for me is what fills my heart and makes me feel super-accompanied in this beautiful process that I'm living. Those who know me know that I am much more focused on the beautiful things than on what people can say bad because in the end I think we get hooked or connect with what we bring inside, so of course before these weeks in which There has been a constant attack by a specific medium, I take it very calmly because I hope that those people who bring so much sadness or so much bitterness in their hearts could have the privilege of experimenting, giving life, giving something positive and then they would understand that criticism is abundant.that's why of course before these weeks in which there has been a constant attack by a specific medium I take it very calmly because I hope those people who bring so much sadness or so much bitterness in their hearts, could have the privilege to experiment, to give life, to give something positive and then they would understand that criticism is superfluous.that's why of course before these weeks in which there has been a constant attack by a specific medium I take it very calmly because I hope those people who bring so much sadness or so much bitterness in their hearts, could have the privilege to experiment, to give life, to give something positive and then they would understand that criticism is superfluous.

Everyone has different dreams and mine was to form a family and my dream is beating, growing and moving within me

What would you say to those who think that you should wait to find a man and not be a single mother?

To those who think that I should have waited longer and waited to find this man, I say that God's times are perfect and that if I had been a mother in his plans, things would not have settled afterwards. I believe we can question man, but we cannot in any way question the plans they have up there for us. I would tell those people who say that I should expect that everyone has different dreams and mine was to form a family and well my dream is beating, growing and moving within me, so I would say that if I had known happiness and happiness The fullness that I am experiencing right now would not have gotten me pregnant right now, I would have gotten pregnant since I was 18 years old.

If I had known the happiness and fulfillment that I am experiencing right now, I would not have gotten pregnant right now, I would have been pregnant since I was 18 years old

I would like to say to all those who are so deeply rooted in that concept of a single mom that I don't consider myself a single mom, I consider myself a MOM because the single is a condition that can change. I consider myself a mom in charge, as there are so many moms in the world. There are many mothers who had a child in a couple and then things did not work and the father never came back, there are many mothers who are in a couple and they are the ones in charge, there are many mothers who suddenly got pregnant and decided that the person was not with whom they wanted to share the growth of a baby and are in charge. So I consider myself a mom in charge, I consider myself a brave mom and singleness, the truth is that it is an adjective that has come and has come from my life many times.
