Aura Cristina Geithner starts 2019 through the front door. And never better said. In addition to continuing to develop her facet as a singer with the awaited release of her EP 'Me equivoqué tú', which will be released shortly; In the acting field, the Colombian interpreter is about to embark on what will undoubtedly be one of the most special projects of her career since it will give her the opportunity to perform for the first time with her son Demian Dos Santos, 19 years, who will debut as an actor with this story that will be filmed in Mexico. "We will be working together on the film You are or they make you from the producer Solano," Geithner exclusively tells People en Español. "I am very excited that my son opens with an actor," she adds.

An emotion that his first-born also shares. "More than nervous I am excited because it is the first time that I will have the formal opportunity to be part of the great world of cinema and feel what it means to be an actor," says Demian.

“It is a story that confronts anorexia, bulimia and all the conflicts that this problem generates in the family and personal environment. This time we will not be mother and son. I will be the mother of the protagonist and my son will play a rebellious boy in love,”says the proud mother, who after three decades of artistic career behind her looks better than ever.

Although the adolescent is still not clear that he wants to dedicate himself professionally to the world of acting, since at the moment he sees it as a hobby - "I am at a time in my life when I am realizing what I really am," he says. -, Geithner points out that from a very young age he already had "a great ability to interpret, act and function in public".

“She looked at him at his school as a great leader expressing his thoughts and emotions. Then I began to take him to the theater so that he could perceive and differentiate everything that exists in performing art. I was glad to see how he liked all kinds of works. Later I was noticing that little by little he was having a critical eye for each one of them,”he says.

“I know he has a vocation but that is something that he has to discover and convince himself if he really wants to be in this profession as an actor. He has his dreams and goals also in the area of humanities so I respect his path and I will always support him in whatever he decides to do,”adds Aura Cristina.

Demian, for his part, does not rule out that acting will one day become his profession.

“It seems that for now it will be a hobby; however, it may be my profession in the future,”he says.
