Kim Kardashian has cast her classic look aside to transform into Jackie Kennedy Onassis on the new cover of Interview magazine.

The socialite shared on Monday on their social networks the cover of the magazine's September issue, entitled "The New First Lady of North America." Also featured on its pages is Kim's firstborn, North West, dressed in elegant outfits from the time when Jackie O was considered a great fashion icon.

On a previous occasion, Kardashian disbursed a total of it for Interview.

In the photos Kardashian wears a short black hair wig in a white turtleneck dress and gloves to emulate the look of the widow of President John F. Kennedy, who was assassinated in 1963 in Dallas, TX.

The photographer responsible for the shoot is Steven Klein, 36, who made clear in a press release the reasons for using Kardashian as a "empowering" image.

"For this shoot, I wanted to capture feminine beauty as an expression of empowerment and self-esteem," said Klein. “Also, highlight Kim in an elegant way that is retrospective of a time and yet modern. As a model, Kim is a chameleon. She can easily change according to stated intention and with little effort. It is her gift: her innate relationship with the camera. A muse of modern times”.

The photo shoot was secretly held in July in New York, according to behind-the-scenes footage shared by Kardashian on his social media.
