It's official: singer Janet Jackson is pregnant at 50 years old.

The news was confirmed by the singer and sister of the late Michael Jackson to People magazine in an exclusive interview. "We thank God for our blessing," said the Indiana-born star.

The magazine published an exclusive image of the singer dressed in white, with her hair pulled back and wearing glasses, while laying a hand on her tummy.

Rumors of her pregnancy emerged this summer when Jackson announced on April 6 that her world tour titled Unbreakable was being postponed. "My husband and I are planning our family," she said in a message she posted on Twitter, explaining the sudden news.

In June, her brother Tito Jackson said Janet was expecting her first child by her husband, Qatari billionaire Wissam Al Mana, 41. "She is doing very well," he told People back then. "She's taking it smooth. Expect to have a healthy child."

Since the summer, Jackson kept a low profile, revealing himself on very rare occasions, one of them on a shopping tour of a children's furniture boutique in London.

"She is super excited about the pregnancy and is doing tremendously well," a source told People in those days. "In fact, she feels great about all of this."

Now we can check it.
