Rosie Rivera, the sister of the late Band Diva Jenni Rivera, came beaming at the Latin American Music Awards in Los Angeles, CA. Rosie was able to see from the front rows the performance of her niece Chiqui Rivera, who said she is considering playing the role of her mother Jenni Rivera in an upcoming film about her life.

Rosie discussed her pregnancy with People en Español on the gala carpet, which she arrived wearing in an elegant fuchsia outfit. Rosie admitted that she had had a scare during her pregnancy. “They gave me a blood transfusion. I entered the hospital because I had kidney pain, which I suffer from kidney infection, and UTIs in pregnancy are more common. The doctor told me: 'you need a blood transfusion' because he had anemia in 6 and we have to be in 12”, he said. After the transfusion and taking iron, she is already recovered, she said.

Rosie was also surprised to say that she was considering taking her placenta in the form of a smoothie after giving birth as they say it is very healthy and helps fight anemia. She already has experience with this, as she says that after giving birth to her daughter Samantha, she ingested her placenta in capsule form. "My mom thinks I'm crazy," she said with a laugh. "I don't want to eat it. Kourtney Kardashian ate it. That is a bit extreme for me. The truth is I'm thinking of taking it in a smoothie,”she added, since, according to her, it will help her fight anemia and postpartum depression that she suffers from.

Rosie added that she hopes to call her unborn boy Elijah. "Thank God he's a boy. His name is Elías and we are going to call him Ely. We are very happy. It's almost here, I'm already 38 weeks old, "he concluded.
