The Prince George is ready to see the world … and the world is ready to see him!

The Dukes of Cambridge anticipate taking their child on an official visit to Australia and New Zealand in April, when the baby is nearly nine months old.

Although George is "anticipated" to join his mother and father for what will likely be more than three weeks outside of England, it will be decided whether the baby will travel as the dates approach, a royal source confirmed to People.

George will be accompanied by his babysitter during the trip - Jessie Webb, 71, who has been his first babysitter and accompanied the young family to the pre-Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace this past Wednesday - and not by his grandmother Carole Middleton, as it had been suggested before.

SPECIAL: All About The Royal Baby

The trip resembles those given by his father William in his first stage of life, since at nine months he accompanied his parents, the princes of Wales, on an official trip to Australia and New Zealand during the spring of 1983.

This will be the first time that Kate, 31, has visited both countries. William, 31, visited both venues shortly before the couple's spectacular wedding in 2011. He then made an appearance in some areas affected by earthquakes in New Zealand and floods in Australia.

The couple's press office at Kensington Palace has said in a statement to People: “Their Majesties have been invited to visit by the governments of New Zealand and Australia. Additional details regarding dates and itinerary will be provided in due course.”
