Actress Maritza Rodríguez released the big news Monday that she is pregnant and with twins!

"When I knew it was the end date of the novel (Husband for rent, from Telemundo), we calculated the moment and I swear that the first time came," the Colombian actress, who is married to Joshua Mintz, executive vice president of Telemundo. "I started to notice that the clothes on my hip were fitting and, well, I felt it, and I said to myself, 'I think I'm done.'"

Rodríguez, who is 13 weeks pregnant, remembers the moment when her gynecologist told her that there was not one but two babies in her tummy.

"At that time my question was like a joke to the doctor … I was holding my mother's hands. [The doctor] says to me, 'Yes there is another [baby],' and I would laugh and laugh, and say, OMG, how awesome! You gave me credit and you gave me credit with this double surprise.”

The actress, who hopes to give birth in the middle of next May, already notices the changes in her body. “It has touched me very hard; I have had very hard symptoms, a lot of nausea, headache … It has forced me to be at home, to change my routine. Thank God I finished the soap opera and everything was perfect to our plans."

He anticipates that the little ones' room will be neutral in color since the marriage does not yet know the sex of the babies. Once they have that information, the search for names will begin. She says she would like them to be "Biblical, Jewish, family names."

After much meditation and much prayer, finally the joy is double for Rodríguez and her husband. "Certainty is very powerful," he says. “It is something that I always dreamed of; I had in my soul that I always thought about a pregnancy and said that I felt that when I got pregnant, it would be two”.
