Lorena Rojas already has the daughter she had long awaited.

After two years of adoption procedures, first in Mexico and then in the United States, Rojas is holding a baby named Luciana, who was born in Miami two weeks ago, the Mexican press reported.

The little girl was reportedly born on October 6, and the actress had to wait 48 hours for the mother not to regret giving her up for adoption.

In August 2008, Rojas, 44, was diagnosed with breast cancer. He fought stubbornly and successfully against the disease, but in 2012 he was re-diagnosed with the disease, this time with metastases to various parts of the body. The actress continued to want a sapling, although she knew that it would not be easy because the disease she suffers from is fueled by hormones and a pregnancy would cause an increase in them.

In 2011, a new possibility for motherhood was opened before her and the procedures to adopt began. Although she had initially chosen Mexico to adopt, she faced many obstacles, so she ended up processing her adoption in the United States.

In an interview with People en Español last year, Lorena spoke in detail about her decision to adopt.
