Sofía Reyes has finally released her first studio album titled Louder (Warner Music Latina). “It's a fun [CD],” said the Mexican singer to People en Español.
The album consists of twelve songs and has collaborations with renowned artists such as Prince Royce, Wisin, Reykon and Cash Cash.
We talked to Sofia about her new album and here is what she told us:
Why did you decide to name your album Louder?
Louder is a simple word but holds a lot of power. I think the good must make more noise than all the bad, especially in times like now where the world is going through constant wars. Only we have that power to raise our voice and to be louder.
What can we expect from your new music?
It's an album that doesn't pretend to be something and is very fun [and] positive. It is bilingual and a climb up and down the mountain. I think they are going to have a lot of fun with each song.
Your career started at the age of 12, how much has your life changed?
Completely! I have matured a lot as a person and as an artist. I have gone through different paths and met new people. I have improved [as a songwriter] and I have had the experience of singing live and traveling. Those are 11 years [that have been] very interesting and blessed. I'm very happy.
Anyone special that pushed you to choose this path?
My family, my parents and [my managers] Charlie and Paloma.
Who are your musical icons?
Whitney Houston for her voice [and] Taylor Swift for how she managed her career. I actually admire many great artists, there's so many!
