The annual Miss Universe pageant is underway and a winner will be crowned next Sunday evening. A group of diverse women from over 86 countries will come together on stage for an exciting night. This year's event will be hosted by Emmy Award winner Steve Harvey with Sport Illustrated cover model and body activist Ashley Graham, who will be live from backstage. The three hour program will include musical performances from Flo Rida and Boyz II Men.

Before the contestants take the stage to go after the crown, they compete in preliminary competitions including an interview with the judges. In the preliminaries, each woman represented their countries with their national costumes. From elaborate headdresses to Victoria Secret inspired wings, here are some of the national costumes of the Latina contestants that brought fuego to the contest.

Miss Universe 2016 is being held in the Philippines, following the victory of Miss Universe 2015, Pia Wurtzbach from the Philippines. The winner of Miss Universe will immediately move to New York City and will travel the world for a year representing her platforms and raising awareness and funds for charitable initiatives. The 65th Miss Universe Competition will air live on Sunday, Jan. 29, starting at 7 pm ET / PT on FOX. Fans can vote for their favorite contestant and help her earn a spot as a finalist.
