Parents have a hard time keeping up with the digital world their kids are living in and Facebook wants to help make it easier. The social networking service launched a new section today in its safety center called “Parents Portal.” Parents will be able to visit this page for an offering of resources including basic information and tips to helping parents get the most out of the Facebook experience and help navigate their children with their experience. The company teamed up with expert partners from around the world to create these handy online safety tips. Some of the featured tips include teaching your children to think before sharing online or laying the foundation for dialogue early.
“Everyday, parents come to Facebook to ask for advice in Groups, share pictures of their kids or just stay connected with family in different places. And for many parents, they also have questions about how Facebook works once their kids join,”said Antigone Davis, Head of Global Safety, Facebook and Local Policy Lead. "That's why today we are launching the Parent's Portal."
