MTV released the nominees for the 2016 Video Music Awards and big names like Beyoncé, Drake, Ariana Grande, and Justin Bieber are all in the running for an award. Although that's no surprise, the names that weren't nominated are a shocker.
The most notably absent from the categories are Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, and Grammy award winner for Best New Artist, Meghan Trainor.
Last year, T. Swift received 10 nominations for "Bad Blood" and this year, the pop star received zero.
Nick Jonas expressed his disappointment on Twitter but then went on to a more positive note and showed gratitude for all that is going on his life. I've finally concluded that "everything is awesome."
Selena Gomez may have been the queen of Instagram this year, but her “Hands to Myself” video received zero nods. Her fans took to Twitter to show their frustration.
