Selena Quintanilla Finally Gets A Wax Figure At Madame Tussauds

After many requests by fans and an online petition, Madame Tussaud's Hollywood announced that it would be immortalizing Selena Quintanilla in wax. The official unveiling of the Tejano superstar's figure, valuing at s just in time for the 21st anniversary of her fifth and final album, Dreaming of You.

“Her influence has transcended generations and her passionate fans continue to be inspired by her to this day. We recognize this and in response, we are proud to join her fans in celebrating her legacy by immortalizing her,”said Colin Thomas, General Manager of Madame Tussads Hollywood.

The Quintanilla family worked with Madame Tussads in every step of the process and helped select numerous factors such as Selena's iconic pose, her expression, hairstyle, makeup, and even wardrobe.

“This is yet another step in making sure that her legacy lives on and that her fans new and old can appreciate her as a person, an artist and one whom we can all identify with,” said Suzette Arriaga, Selena's sister.

The figure will recreate the look from Selena's concert performance recorded for the album Selena Live!
