The paleolithic diet has been in effect for a long time, but since celebrities like Jessica Biel and Megan Fox revealed that this is their way of eating, it has become a revolution.
What is the Paleolithic diet?
The paleodiet is a way of eating based on what our ancestors theoretically ate in the Paleolithic era, when man was a hunter-gatherer, before livestock and agriculture developed, says personal trainer and certified nutrition coach, Sebastián Morel Ferreira, who also presented us with two of the most popular eating styles today, their advantages and disadvantages: vegetarian vs. vegan.
Morel Ferreira says that the peleolithic diet is originally designed to improve health through a more natural diet and has been adapted to athletes in order to improve their sports performance.
This diet is based on the foods that the man consumed in the stone age, when they were hunter-gatherers. Plant-based foods include fruits and vegetables, roots and tubers, nuts and raw vegetable oils. Foods of animal origin include lean meats, eggs, and fish.
