Christina Milian's Iconic Looks Flaunted Over Two Decades

Have you ever looked back on your old photos and asked yourself, “What was I thinking?” Yeah, we all have those moments - even stars. Coming up with a personal style can be quite a challenge - but this makes it more fun to look back at that struggle through the years.

Christina Milian - who will be starring in the second season of Sony Crackle's The Oath, premiering February 21 - has been around for two decades, and as we revisited her most memorable outfits, we noticed how consistently impressive her fashion sense has been. Stepping into the game in the late '90s, it seems the singer and actress of Cuban descent always had a bold, fun and eclectic take on clothes. And, from ruffle details to edgy streetwear, the star's style has grown a bit more sophisticated.

Her public evolution shows the key trends of the time. Opposite to the waist-shaping clothing we wear now, low-rise skirts and pants were super trendy in the early 2000s, when Milian starred in Love Don't Cost a Thing and Man of the House. Low-rise jeans paired with crop tops and shirts with trumpet sleeves were among the young pop singer's go-tos. To accompany this style, the influence of British rock bands dictated denim-wear, and there was an influx of boot-cut pants, ranging from light and dark washes to positions. This style was later, well, rebooted in the second half of the 2010s along with the signature "skinny jeans."
