Selena Gomez may be one of the most famous entertainers in the world - she's the most followed person on Instagram currently with 115 MILLION followers - but, according to Katherine Langford, who stars in Selena's passion project 13 Reasons Why, Selena is so real that you might not even realize there's a famous person in the room. We love it!

In a recent interview with the Toronto Sun, Langford gushed over Gomez's modesty:

She's so human. It just feels like a normal conversation. We went and had dinner the other night, and it was like she's just another girl in the room. It's cool when you get to that point.”

Langford also talks about how she, like all of us, was freaking out a little when she first realized she was friends with a celebrity, especially one as down-to-earth as Selena:

“It's kind of weird now saying, 'I'm just going to go have lunch with Selena,'” she says. I still have this text from Selena, where she texted me her number, and it just came up on my screen, 'Hey, it's Selena.' And I was just looking at it. It doesn't feel real.”

13 Reasons Why is available to stream now on Netflix! The series, which is based on a book by the same name, centers on unraveling the mystery behind a teenage girl's decision to commit suicide and will touch on issues such as social isolation and bullying.

On Instagram, Selena talked about why she's so passionate about this particular project:

What 13 Reasons Why has represented was an authentic story of what every kid deals with in everyday life. The pressure, the unrealistic expectations of what they believe they should be. Whether you have read this book or not, it's a story of what every kid does and will continue to go through - unless we keep talking about it. People are hurting and deserve to be heard.
