As though we needed something to make it even easier to lose the entire weekends into a Netflix whole, Netflix is introducing a button to skip intro credits.

This is totally a gift from the binge watching gods. Outside of that judgey pop-up that asks if we're still watching after a meager few episodes (read: “meager,” “few”), there's nothing that reminds us we should get up and do something with our lives like seeing the intro credits for the umpteenth time. Luckily, as ever, Netflix is here for us and some users on Reddit have begun noticing a button that allows them to skip through the opening credits after the first episode.

Since we know that a major update is coming, we have to imagine that this is a feature that will roll out widely soon, and we're super looking forward to it

Much as we love having theme songs stuck in our head for the rest of our lives, we're pretty grateful for the opportunity to avoid that experience. Plus, this def streamlines the binge-watching process, and adds a couple of minutes of actual content to our day. Y'know, if you're into that kind of thing.

So far, this feature has only been reported by users watching Netflix on a web browser, and there's been no official announcement as to whether or not this feature will become more broadly available. But we're hoping that we'll soon be able to use it on the app and on smart TVs as well.
