By this point, basically everyone with a television and a wifi connection has heard about the fact that Kim Kardashian was the victim of a multi-million dollar robbery in Paris.

In a clip from an upcoming episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kim says she believes the Paris robbers were able to target her because of her use of social media. She said they'd probably been keeping track of her movements through her and her family's Snapchat and Instagram accounts. They knew where she was and that she was alone, and that's an incredibly sobering realization.

"What I think happened now, after like thinking about it so much, is that there was probably a group of guys that were following us the entire trip. I was Snapchatting that I was home and that everyone was going out. So I think they knew [bodyguard Pascal Duvier] was out with Kourtney and that I was there by myself. They had to have known we were leaving that day. They had this window of opportunity and just went for it."

The good news is the robber's ring-leader actually confessed to the crime

I've called it a "very simple affair" in the police testimony, which it definitely wasn't - millions of dollars worth of jewelry was stolen from an innocent victim! Most of it was melted down (so that it wouldn't be recognizable) and sold in Antwerp, which is pretty devastating.

Hopefully nothing like this ever happens again, and Kim can gradually return to her normal life without looking over her shoulder all the time. She's still quite active on social media, so it seems that she's maintaining as many of her regular activities as possible.

Regardless of how anyone might feel about reality TV, it's safe to say that no one should ever have to go through what happened to Kim. We're so glad she seems to be moving on from the experience in a healthy way!
