José José Against Anel Noreña

The biographical series titled José José, the Prince of Song, dedicates much of the plot to telling the sentimental relationship that existed between the singer and his second wife Anel Noreña. However, the ex-spouse was never interviewed to offer her point of view in this regard, since it was the interpreter of "The Ship of Oblivion" who asked for it.

"Leave me, I am going to interview her [Anel], in order to balance her a little and for her to tell me 'this yes and this no'", explained Jorge Jiménez, writer of the bioseries. "[José José] said 'look, I know that maybe it will seem to him, it will not seem to him, but it was a fact'".

Jiménez revealed that this situation caused conflict because the theme around Noreña was to present her as a lady-in-waiting; which was endorsed by the singer himself to be in history.

“Of the characters we had to write, that was really, a bit, the most difficult [Anel's]. Precisely because of this, because he told us' the central axis of this character is that it was before I met her and still, knowing, I fell in love with her and I didn't care. It was something else that said it."

In spite of everything, the writer assures that the mother of his two older children was the most important couple in the life of the Prince of the song.

"Not only [the love] of his life, but deeper," he warned. “For me, from what he told me and that I saw his intensity when he tells it, the passion, which, definitely, Anel was the deepest love for José because otherwise, it would not have lasted, I think it was 20 years and two children. Definitely, he did get his heart tattooed with the name of Anel”.
