What she saw as a failure in her career was one of the greatest lessons that Olga Tañón learned and that is why she remembers it to this day. A lesson that makes her very critical of herself, but that allows her to grow even more. Do you have a memory of your beginnings that you keep with affection because it taught you a very important lesson?

Yes, when I participated in a contest that was not any kind of reality or weekly contest, but rather it was a day with an orchestra in Puerto Rico. They did not even thank me for participating in the contest, but I realized that I did not do the right thing, and although I cried for about two months, it taught me a lot,”said the woman of fire.

“He taught me to say 'you know what?', You have to be realistic with yourself. You weren't pretty, you were very nervous, you were all out of tune, so people say to me 'I can't believe you're like this, that you mistreat yourself'. That is not mistreatment, that is knowing how to recognize that you really did not prepare for something when you had to prepare, and you simply went because you wanted to be an artist.
