Singer Demi Lovato is going through a tough time after the death of one of her friends.

Through his social networks, Lovato revealed that his friend, the model Thomas Trusell, had died on Tuesday night after having lost his battle against addictions.

The death had an impact on the singer-songwriter, who has been hospitalized on several occasions in the past to treat her addictive substance abuse.

"Devastated," she wrote in her stories on Instagram. "Please hug your loved ones. Tell them that they are special and that you love them. Make sure they know. DEP dear.”

Lovato also took the opportunity to urge his followers to seek help or help someone in need.

"Addiction is not a game," he wrote alongside Thomas's photograph. "Heaven won a beautiful angel because of that terrible disease. I am devastated and I will always miss you [Thomas]. If you or someone you know is struggling [with that], please know that it's okay to ask for help."

It should be remembered that the singer was on the verge of death due to an overdose in July last year, she has also confessed that for years she has suffered from eating disorders and has had to fight with mental illness.

In August of last year, Lovato confessed her situation through her social networks and stressed that addiction is not something that disappears, but is a daily struggle.
