The parents of a 21-year-old boy who drowned in the pool of a Demi Moore home during a party in 2015 have filed a lawsuit alleging that the death was not an accident.

According to People, the parents of Edenilson Valle argue in the complaint against the organizers of the event, Bessy Wong and Lenny Hernández, that their son "announced" to the party attendees that he did not know how to swim, so it cannot be that he got in in the pool on a voluntary basis.

The lawsuit, which also includes the company that owns the home but not Moore, seeks compensation for the presence of a pool.

Valle was found dead in the pool on July 19, 2015, in what police considered an accidental death.

Moore and none of his family members were present at the house when the tragedy occurred. In a later statement, he expressed his "absolute dismay" at what happened.
