Sahar Tabar, a young Iranian woman who became world famous for performing more than 50 plastic surgeries to look like Angelina Jolie, has been arrested for blasphemy. The girl's popular Instagram account known as " The Angelina Zombie " has also been closed.

The Tasnim News news agency reported that the Tehran Prosecutor has detained the influencer on charges of incitement to violence, illicit education, blasphemy, insults to the veil of Islam, spreading hatred and encouraging young people to commit corruption.

The young woman who identified herself as Sahar Tabar, by her first name of Farsi origin, was identified by the authorities by her first name: Fatemeh Kh. Before her account was canceled, Sabar had more than 270,000 followers on Instagram, the only platform allowed in her country.

Her popularity grew as the girl evolved and made multiple and radical surgeries. The unusual girl thus began to stand out in the network for her pronounced cheekbones, exorbitant eyes and huge lips.

In some of his posts, Tabar bragged about his surgeries by showing post-operative photos and showing up with bandages on his nose. There are videos that even show the young woman sedated in a doctor's bed.

In an interview with the Russian agency Sputnik in 2017, the influencer denied wanting to look like Brad Pitt's ex. "I have no interest in looking like Angelina Jolie and did not want to see myself as the character of The Corpse Bride," he said then. “I am my own muse and I did not want to see myself as anyone else. That is not who I am."

By the way, he took advantage of it right there to ensure that his surgeries are not what they seem. "It's photoshop and makeup," he said of his striking image. “Every time I post a photo I make my face more fun. It is my way of expressing myself, a kind of art. My followers know that this is not my real face”.

According to Amnesty International in 2014, six people were arrested in Iran for appearing in a YouTube video dancing to the song "Happy" by Pharrell Williams. In 2018, an Iranian teenager was arrested for posting photos of himself on Instagram dancing to western music.
