Neither coffee nor social media or television. What keeps Raúl de Molina awake every night is a “problem” from which he cannot easily escape.
The Univision presenter confessed it in a panel titled "Healthy families are happy families" at the Festival People en Español in which he participated with his Univision colleague, host Ana Patricia Gámez of the new program Enamorándonos.
“Sometimes I have trouble sleeping because my wife snores and won't let me sleep. When I arrived here in New York I slept well and the day before I slept wonderfully,”confessed El Gordo de Molina, who also revealed his fight against caffeine: it reduces his appetite but it takes away his sleep.
"One of the serious problems I have is that I drink coffee - and I tell everyone who drinks coffee - if you drink coffee after noon, you will not be able to sleep," he warned. “You have a good day and it helps you control your appetite and makes you less hungry, but then you can't sleep. [I] spend the whole night on the iPad or iPhone."
Ana Patricia did not reveal any difficulties with sleep, but admitted that she does not like to go to the doctor. In fact, she hasn't been through a consultation since she had her son Gael earlier in the year. Of course, she has chosen to include healthier options in her daily routine, since her health and that of her children is a priority, she said.
What does Ana Patricia eat on any given day? “It varies because I have never considered myself a good cook, nor am I a cook. However, I love to eat, I love to enjoy homemade food and restaurants. In the morning I eat an oatmeal, I think the oatmeal is healthy and then I make some eggs when I return from leaving the girl at school.”
Of course, drink plenty of water. “I left the soft drinks and everything that is processed drinks. Culturally in Mexico we grew up having soft drinks; You ate breakfast, lunch and dinner with a soft drink. It is something that took me many years to take off as a habit.”
De Molina stressed that one of the factors that do not affect most today is stress, something that no one is oblivious to. "You have stress even when you get into the jacuzzi," said the presenter, referring to the remembered segment of his show El gordo y la skinca in which he shared with stars surrounded by bubbles.
