A Mexican air pilot, Ximena García, decided to express a point of view; This was crossed out as an expression that could threaten the security of the Aztec country. The events occurred last week, in reference to the Cry of Independence ceremony that was held by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

“A bomb should drop in the socket… it would do us all a favor. Long live Mexico!”Garcia wrote on his Twitter account. "PS If my comments bother you, delete me; believe me it's worth 2 pesos. Best regards".

Immediately, the reactions began. Some took it as a simple joke; while others equated it with a terrorist threat, including asking that the woman be investigated and fired.

"Have the evidence, the elements on how these expressions were given, and even wait to see if the person who supposedly made them confirms them," López Obrador said in his morning conference to the media. "If it was done the way it is in the networks, [it is] quite strong."

Given the stir caused, the pilot apologized.

“I deeply regret the comment I made on my social networks; It was an immature comment, not thought of. People close to me: my family, my friends, know that I am completely against violence; I would never incite violence,”García mentioned in a video released by the Mexican newspaper El Universal. “I want to really apologize to my company [Interjet], which is a great company; with the president; with Mexico. To the people I really offended, from the heart, I apologize."

However, that was not enough for the Interjet airline; which, issued a statement to demarcate the fact and made the decision to terminate the contract of Ximena García who has been baptized in Mexico as Lady Bomba.
