The writer Laura Lucio, who worked in the production of concerts and specials for the late Jenni Rivera, finally released her book titled Una vida loca por Laura Lucio, anecdotes and conversations with my friend Jenni Rivera.

In it, Lucio reveals, among other things, details about the broken relationship between the so-called Diva de la Banda and his eldest daughter Chiquis Rivera. What led you to reveal your intimate conversations and experiences with Jenni?

"To honor Jenni because many of the things that have been said or written about her, I know she would not approve of them, and because I felt it was time to get her true feelings out for her fans," Lucio tells PEOPLE EN ESPAÑOL. "Also, it's an objective perspective from a friend who never forgot that the greatest purpose Jenni and I had for the book was to create awareness for women, not to allow abuse of themselves or their children."

The journalist assures that knowing Jenni, she would be furious at four things that have been wrongly said or reported after her death: who discovered her; who really pushed for their music to be heard on the radio; that the interpreter would have sung at parties for drug traffickers; and the reasons for his estrangement from his daughter at the end of her life.

The singer and Chiquis were estranged after reports emerged about an alleged romantic relationship between the young woman and Jenni's then-husband, former baseball player Esteban Loaiza. Both Chiquis and Loaiza have flatly denied that such a relationship existed.

“The courage and hatred that Jenni brought [before she dies] was with Esteban. Unfortunately it started as a not very good communication between her and Chiquis. She was worried about many things regarding Chiquis, but she was not angry with her at the end of her life, "says Lucio. "Jenni would also be upset that her hard work in the music industry was tainted by street vendors who wanted to earn a dollar selling a story and a series saying that she sang at private parties for drug traffickers."

In the book, the writer also details Jenni's concern with the possible end of her career and what she really felt when she was referred to as the sister of singer Lupillo Rivera.

Lucio also highlights the reason why his relationship with the Rivera family deteriorated after Jenni's death and assures that although his book was not authorized, the singer's family always knew that it would be released.

“I'm sure some things in the book will surprise the Riveras, but so be it. This book is not about them, it is focused primarily on Jenni, the only one who has reached stardom in the family, "says the author who plans to make a documentary based on her book. "It's about her career and the many conversations and anecdotes I lived with her."
