Ekaterina Karaglanova, a popular instagrammer and blogger, was found stabbed and stuffed into a suitcase in her apartment in Moscow. The young woman was about to turn 25 and is now suspected of her ex-boyfriend as the author of the crime, who assures that she mocked his "sexual prowess".
Last Friday, after several days of not hearing from her, her parents decided to call the authorities to find her whereabouts. Upon inspecting her apartment, her body was discovered in a corridor of the house with stab wounds to the neck and chest.
According to local police, there were no signs of a fight, nor was the murder weapon found, according to The Independent newspaper.
Authorities detained Maim Gareyev, 33, and ex-boyfriend of the deceased, as the main suspect in the crime. According to reports, security cameras of the building where Karaglanova resided captured the subject entering the place and later leaving with a suitcase and gloves in their hands, as confirmed by the local newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda.
The man has stated that his ex insulted his "sexual prowess" and mocked his salary.
The young Moscow resident had more than 100,000 Instagram followers who admired her beautiful figure and photos from fabulous international trips. The girl was also the author of a travel blog and had just graduated from medicine with a specialty in dermatology.
Karaglanova had started a new relationship and in the next few days he would travel to Holland to celebrate his quarter of a century of life, something that unfortunately he did not succeed.
