Jennifer López celebrated her 50th birthday in style with a fun and spectacular party with family and friends. But before dancing the night away, the Bronx Diva was recognized with the keys to the city of Miami Beach in a symbolic private event, where she also declared July 24 as the singer's day.
The ceremony was held at his South Florida mansion hours before the big party.

JLo was accompanied by her fiancé Alex Rodríguez during the act led by Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber and Commissioner Michael Góngora.
“We are very happy to be able to give you this special key. It is the most unique key that we have designed, it is the only key that we have designed for someone. It is literally the key to JLo. And it is not only because of the incredible things you have done as an artist, but because of the incredible things you have done as a person and we are very grateful to you,”said the mayor.
Visibly excited, the actress and singer thanked for the gesture and posed for the photo of the memory with her children Max and Emme, Rodríguez and the two daughters of her future husband.
"This is obviously a tremendous honor, I don't even know what to say," said López. "It is so overwhelming to be at this point in my life and to have recognitions like this, I just always wanted to do my best."
After receiving the recognition, the singer continued the festivities in a spectacular party where Max and Emme prepared a tender musical surprise for her.
“It has been a birthday to remember. I can really feel the love from all of you. Yesterday was a dream. I have seen her beautiful birthday videos and I must say that I have cried 20 times. It was just another great reminder of how grateful I am for all the beauty and love I have in my life. Thank you for being part of this great feeling,”the singer wrote Thursday morning on her Instagram account.
JLo will remain in Miami for the following days to perform in concert at the American Airlines Arena, part of his "It's My Party" tour.
