A family walk with Colombia ended in tragedy this weekend with the death of a former participant of the Desafío Súper Regiones (Caracol) program.

María Fernanda Aguilar, 20, died on the beaches of Padromar, Puerto Colombia municipality, in the Atlántico department. The model and athlete was traveling with her partner, Julián González, family and other couples of friends, when González went into the sea and was carried by the strong current to the deepest part.

The Barranquilla model came to the aid of her boyfriend, but it was she who could not be rescued, Colombian media reports. According to family members, when they went to the rescuers, they indicated that they only had a life jacket, besides, the jetsky had no gasoline.
