The case of the little girl, now known as ' Baby India ', has touched so many that now the Forsyth County authorities have been rained by more than 1,000 offers from people who want to adopt the baby.
The baby was found on June 6 crying, bloody and with the umbilical cord still hanging from her body and was immediately placed under the protection of the Georgia Department of Children and Families.
According to The Today Show (NBC), many people have contacted local authorities eager for the opportunity to welcome the newborn into their home.
"The number of people who are looking to bring their families a new life is amazing," said Ron Freeman, Forsyth County Sheriff. "And here we have a person who tried to get rid of one," said incisor.
In the video, a man is heard saying that he discovered the baby because he could hear her cry from home. Then a police officer is observed tearing the bag to discover the newborn. Look at this cuteness. I'm so sorry,”exclaims the officer at that moment.
The heartbreaking video has gone viral and has been viewed by over a million people so far:
In the absence of information about the minor, the police called the baby 'Baby India'. As explained, the decision to reveal the dramatic video of her rescue was made to try to locate the baby's mother or relatives.
"We are pleased to report that Baby India is doing well and is under the care of the Georgia Department of Children and Families," spokespeople exclaimed in posting the clip.
If you have any information about the girl's mother, please call the sheriff's office at 770-781-3087.
