Authorities in Barcelona are asking for 8 years in prison for Adaia López Esteve, a young woman who, with a ferocious bite, ripped off her boyfriend's tongue and spat it on the ground after asking him for a “last kiss”.
According to reports from the site 20Minutos.es, the young woman and her victim met in 2016 through the Internet. Both were residents of the Vilanova i la Geltrú neighborhood and from then on began a relationship that lasted until February 2018.
When the romance came to an end, the girl was enraged and caused damage to the young man's apartment, whose identity has not been revealed. Still, the couple decided to resume the romance despite having problems due to the explosive nature of López Esteve.
However, on June 27, 2017 the couple had a final argument and when she was about to leave she asked her boyfriend for one last kiss. When he agreed, she took a bite of it and with a bite tore off his tongue, spitting it on the ground and then leaving.
A neighbor called for help and the young man was rushed to a local clinic where they were fortunately able to stop the bleeding caused by the attack.
The woman was apprehended and later was released while the respective inquiries initiated by investigating judge number 6 were carried out, in the aforementioned district of Barcelona.
Now the investigation has concluded and it is expected that López Esteve will shortly appear before the Provincial Court to face the charges against him. According to multiple sources in Spain, the prosecutor asks for 8 years in prison for the defendant for the crime of "injuries", although the victim's defense asks for 10 years for the young woman, considering that she acted "treacherously."
