After the public complaint by singer Jesús Ortiz Paz against the police for the excessive use of force, the San Bernardino Police Department in California revealed details of the incident where the interpreter ended up arrested.

According to the press release published by the agency, Ortiz Paz refused to obey the orders of the officers who detained him after leaving a party where he was celebrating his birthday and Mother's Day with friends and family, so that there was a struggle between the agents and the singer. After the exchange of physical force, the Mexican regional music singer, along with another colleague, was arrested and transferred to that county jail, where he remained for around 10 hours. Police revealed that when investigating the residence where the event took place, they found evidence of the sale of drugs, as well as a rifle and large amounts of money.

The singer, for his part, denies having disobeyed the officers and refutes being associated with the evidence that the agency declares.

"The rifle was found in the house where the party was, but that is not my house, I do not live there and I do not understand why they are relating me to that," the interpreter told PEOPLE EN ESPAÑOL. “They arrested me because I asked why they were detaining us, because they had no reason to do so. Excess force is not justified."

According to Ortiz Paz, the police detained him as he left the party for his home for no reason, treating him like a criminal and stripping him of his money and the money of his manager.

"They threw me on the floor and beat me and left me bleeding without reason. They took me to jail,”she revealed on her instagram account. "We are not criminals, nor do we sell drugs."

The vocalist of Fuerza Regia assured that he followed the orders of the officers when leaving the car in which he was traveling, but he refused to take off his bag that he had hanging.

"It was my personal bag and I put it on, and I told the police I'm listening to you [he said] put your hands on your back, and I put my hands on my back," the singer told FOX.

According to the statement, the incident is under investigation and upon completion will be presented to the district attorney for review. In the initial investigation, the department found no improper use of excessive force by officers.

For his part, the vocalist demands that the videos of the agents' body cameras be shown.

"I want justice," he declared.
