Authorities have released the chilling audio of a 911 call from a teenage girl who managed to escape the so-called "house of horror" in California in which a couple tortured and kept their 13 children isolated for years.

In the call, the 17-year-old woman reported that her parents David and Louise Turpin had been beating, chaining and starving their children for years at their home in the town of Perris. "My parents are abusive," the girl says to the 911 operator in the audio obtained by ABC News. "My two little sisters are chained … they are chained to their bed."

In addition to the teenager who called 911 on January 14, 2018, her 14 siblings lived in the house, the youngest of whom was 2 years old and the oldest 29. “I live in a family of 15 people and our parents are abusive”, you hear the young woman say. We live in dirt. Sometimes I wake up and can't breathe from how dirty the house is.”

The young woman says that they did not let her out and read the address of her home (which she had written down on a piece of paper) to the operator. "I don't know what medicine is," he added. "We don't go to school. I haven't finished first grade and I'm 17 years old.”

When police officers arrived at the residence, they found a "horror house," with some of the children chained to furniture. According to prosecutors, parents had been beating, strangling and denying food to children for years.
