The 22-year-old Mexican woman who was enslaved and injected with semen by her captors for more than two years was saved thanks to the intervention of a member of a church in Jacksonville, the city of Florida where the terrible story occurred.

This is the case documents available in the state court to which the defendant, Esther Clark, 47, who faces a long list of charges, appeared on Monday, People reported.

Prosecutors say the abuse lasted more than two years and that the innocent girl - who was sold to the accused by "coyotes" in Mexico - was subjected to mistreatment and forced labor, in addition to physical and psychological abuse, among other things.

It was not until a member of the Celebration Church realized that the girl "washed cars in very cold weather and with very little clothing," which "seemed very strange to her."

As he approached the girl, he noticed signs of physical abuse, which he documented before reporting his discovery to the police.

That same person also tried to help her escape, giving her money and a phone, but when Clark realized the plan he hit her.

When the woman “bought” the girl in 2012, he told her that she would give her a rental belly, which she did not comply with. Then he prohibited him from leaving the apartment where he had lodged her "because it was dangerous" and warned him that if he ran away, he would find her "through the tarot cards."

Later, she began with a daily martyrdom to inject her with her boyfriend's semen in order to get her pregnant, which did not happen and due to this he began to force her to work, that is why he had her washing cars. He even contacted the girl's family demanding that they reimburse her for the $ 3,000 he invested in taking her to Florida.

If found guilty, Clark could be sentenced to 20 years in prison.
