A son found the remains of his mother who disappeared more than 20 years ago, buried in the patio of the house where he grew up. The chilling find confirmed Aaron Fraser's suspicion since he was a child that his mother Bonnie Haim had been killed. The trial against his biological father Michael Haim, 52, accused of murdering his wife and burying her body in his own home, began Monday. Fraser found his mother's skeletal remains in the yard while doing renovation work on the home where he lived his early years with his parents.

Although the young man did not remember much of his mother, since the 23-year-old woman disappeared when Fraser was 3 years old, the boy had always suspected something violent had happened to him. The boy told a therapist, "Dad hurt Mom," but there was no evidence to prove it. The little boy also said, "Dad shot Mom" and "My dad couldn't wake her up."

Aaron Frase was given up for adoption, but he always wanted to know the truth about his biological parents. Michael Haim told authorities that he had argued with his wife and she had climbed into her car and left the house, leaving behind their son.

In 1993, when the tragedy happened, they found Bonnie's car in the parking lot of the Jacksonville, Florida airport where the family lived. This suggested that the woman had gotten on a plane to leave her family, but they found her wallet with money and credit cards in a garbage dump, creating a great unknown.

In 2014, after winning a lawsuit against his biological father, Fraser became the owner of the home where he grew up and when he started renovating the house and building a patio pool, he found his mother's skull inside a plastic bag. DNA tests confirmed his fear that it was Bonnie. They also found a 22-caliber bullet in the living room, fired with Michael Haim's rifle, according to the investigation, for which Haim was arrested. The prosecution argues that Haim killed his wife when she tried to leave him, although the man has pleaded not guilty. His trial is in progress in Jacksonville.
