A man in Pakistan was arrested after being accused by his wife of humiliating and savagely beating her when she refused to dance for his friends. The woman, identified as Asma Aziz, published a video on social networks covered in beatings and asking for help. She denounces in the video, which has gone viral, that her husband Mian Faisal was enraged when she refused to dance for him and his colleagues gathered at their house.
Then the man ripped off her clothes, leaving her naked in front of everyone and then brutally hit her with metal pipes. “She took my clothes off in front of her employees. The employees grabbed me while he shaved my hair and burned it, he says in the video.
Asma, who is from Lahore, northern Pakistan and has three children, adds: “My clothes were bloody. She hung me on the fan and threatened to hang me naked.” The woman adds that her husband was loving when they were married four years ago but after six months married he became abusive. Asthma reveals that Mian becomes violent while drinking alcohol.
According to her, she managed to escape the day after the beating and reach a police station, but the police refused to help her if she did not pay them. They also refused to give him medical attention if he did not pay them. As her parents are both dead, Asma says she thought her only option was to shoot the video and ask for help from the public. Pakistan's human rights minister intervened in his case when his video denouncing the abuse went viral on the Internet. Her husband Mian Faisal and her employee Rashi Ali were arrested.
