Lotte van der Zee, a 20-year-old model who in 2017 was crowned Miss Teen Universe died on Wednesday as a result of cardiac arrest. This was announced by her destroyed parents through networks when sharing a photo of the blonde enjoying a vacation in the snow.

"Our pearl died on Wednesday, March 6 at 10:47 pm," said Bert van der Zee and Eugeniek van het Hul, in the post published on Instagram. “It is incredibly surreal that our beloved and beloved Lotte is no longer with us. Our hearts are truly shattered."

The model suffered from heart problems for a while, something that her parents had made public on networks. On February 22, the couple posted a post stating that their daughter had entered cardiac arrest one day after celebrating her 20th birthday.

“Dear friends, it is with the deepest pain that we inform you of the reason for Lotte's recent absence from the public. Two days ago, during a vacation in Westendorf, Austria, Lotte started feeling bad towards the afternoon. A discomfort that quickly turned into cardiac arrest, they said back then.

"They took her to the nearest hospital where she is in a coma and kept her asleep under close supervision of the doctors who are monitoring her heart," they continued. “Thank you in advance for your words of love for our daughter. We are very grateful for your support.”

Despite such first-rate medical care, the model's health continued to deteriorate and she was transferred to a Munich military hospital in Germany, her parents reported a week before her death.

"They still have her under intensive medical supervision," assured her parents, who have thanked the samples of affection after the death of the young girl. Rest in peace.
