Michael Barnhill, a 30-year-old MIssissippi man, was arrested for murdering his wife after she prevented him from driving because he was drunk.

The tragedy occurred last Friday in the town of Winona, when the victim's birthday party was celebrated: Marlee Jones Barnhill, who was about to turn 27.

According to witnesses, the now deceased had in her possession the keys to her husband's truck. "All of these were good friends who were having fun together," said Clint Walker, Carroll County Sheriff in a statement. However, Michael Barnhill got drunk and bellicose that night. The others tried to keep him from drinking, but he got angry and became aggressive.”

The sheriff explained that the suspect left the house where the party was taking place, took a revolver from his car, hit his wife to knock down the cigar in his mouth, and shot him point-blank in the chest.

The subject also lashed out at the party host, Jim Harrell, 44, and his wife, Brooks Harrell, 39, who were also shot to death.

In the house there were two more women who, when they saw what was happening, ran to the second floor of the house to protect the couple's 10-year-old child.

Both the wife of the arrested person and the owner of the house died at the scene. The third victim died in Jackson hospital after being flown in by helicopter, ABC News confirms.

When the authorities arrived at the scene of the tragedy, Barnhill appeared at the scene, pretending that he did not know what had happened. However, witnesses pointed out him as responsible for the tragedy.

He now faces four counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder, according to local sources.
