Police arrested the suspect in killing the parents of Jayme Closs, 13, to kidnap the teenager. The man kept her in captivity for three months but the girl managed to escape. The Barron County Sheriff's Office revealed that 21-year-old Jake Thomas Patterson has been arrested on charges of murder of the girl's parents and kidnapping of the child.

The suspect did not have a criminal history in Wisconsin. Police allege that she planned the crime of the young woman's parents and that "Jayme was her only target." Jake reportedly had no previous contact with James Closs, 56, and Denise Closs, 46, who were found dead in their home.

When the police arrived - after receiving a 911 call where screams were heard but no one spoke to the operator - they found the bodies of the girl's parents but Jayme had disappeared. Police revealed that the door to the house had been kicked open.

It is unknown how Patterson knew the teenager. Jayme was rescued Thursday after escaping from her suspected kidnapper and asking for help from a woman who was walking her puppy on the street in Gordon, Wisconsin, Star-Tribune reported. The woman then desperately knocked on the door of neighbors, Kristin and Peter Kasinskas, who were shocked to see the missing teenager who had been on the news, and called the authorities. Her rescue has caused a stir. After leaving the hospital, the young woman will be reunited with the rest of her family.
